Terri joined our staff in 2016 and has 31 years of clinical experience. Additional coursework has enabled her to expand her clinical capabilities and skills. She is certified to administer local anesthesia, perform basic life support, and utilize American Eagle ZP technology instrumentation. In order to provide optimal care for her patients, Terri remains current with dental and dental hygiene procedures and products and attends numerous continuing education courses on a regular basis. These have included Myths, Legends, and Realities of Over-the-Counter Products; Opioid Addiction and Dental Professionals; Advanced Hygiene Therapy; and Faces of Oral Cancer.
The best part of Terri’s job is interacting with patients. She has yet to meet anyone who wants to hear about the evils of not flossing. Instead, explaining the correlation between oral health and overall health, evaluating a patient’s oral health, and recommending home care products and techniques are far more effective ways of educating her patients. Through many years of experience, her sense of humor has proven to be one of her greatest clinical tools, especially when working with dental-phobic patients.
Outside of the office, Terri spends much of her time helping her husband manage and market their side business “Woodwork By Design.” She is also actively involved with the Illinois Dental Hygienists’ Association and has her own column in their newsletter.
Margaret came on board with Dr. Roessler’s team in 2007. In 1994, she graduated with a degree in dental hygiene from William Rainey Harper College. Margaret enjoys providing the best possible care to all of her patients. Outside of work, her goals are to stay fit and healthy both mentally and physically.
Linda has served as a valuable member of our practice for the past 42 years. Originally, she started working for Dr. Wells as a dental assistant after completing Central Lakes College’s dental assisting program and becoming a certified dental assistant. After 2 years of working as a dental assistant, Linda went back to school to become a dental hygienist. In 1980, she completed William Rainey Harper College’s dental hygiene program, took the board exams, and became a registered dental hygienist. Over the years, she has completed a variety of continuing education programs to stay current. When asked, “What do you enjoy most about your job?”, Linda would say, “The people,” many of whom have become her friends over the years.
Away from the office, Linda enjoys being able to sleep in, take bike rides, go on long walks, and spend time with family and friends. She is married to a wonderful man, AI, and they have two sons, Dustin (25 years old) and Jared (23 years old). They enjoy exploring new places and revisiting special old places. In her spare time, Linda enjoys crafts, gardening, and home rehab, plus she and her husband farm and produce honey.
Leticia has worked for Dr. Roessler since 2015, although she has been a dental assistant for over 30 years. She has been trained in HIPAA, is certified in CPR, and has also attended many in-office lectures. Leticia’s favorite part of her job is working as a team to help our patients achieve their dental goals and seeing their joy with the end results. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and working out.
Karen joined our practice in 2015, but she has over 30 years of experience in the dental field. She graduated from Triton College’s dental assisting program and passed her national boards to receive her certification in dental assisting. Karen enjoys getting to know people and helping meet their dental needs. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
Crystal is one of our front desk receptionists and serves as our patient coordinator. She has been with our practice since 2018. What Crystal enjoys most about her job is being able to learn new things, meeting so many different people, and making new friendships with everyone here. When she isn’t at the office working, she enjoys boating on the lake with friends and family.
