In this month’s before & after case we have a young man with a two very large cavities on the cheek side of his lower right back molars. Cavities occur as a result of tooth decay and plaque buildup. Tooth decay is a result of bacteria eating away the enamel and dentin of the tooth. This patient’s cavity is a severe example of what can happen. Fortunately the team at Dr. Michael Roessler’s practice in Mundelein, IL has great experience saving teeth that might otherwise have to be removed.
